Blender 2.46 was released not long ago, and packs a ton of new features, including a completely rewritten particle system, as well as a new image browser, cloth simulation, and more. This is the final release for Linux and FreeBSD 7.0+. It was built on Python 2.5, which, if you don't have it, can be downloaded for free at python.org/download The Linux build will need glibc 2.3.6 or later. You can get it here: http://www.icewalkers.com/Linux/Software/512820/glibc.html If you're new to Blender, you might want to follow this link to see what it's capable of: http://www.blender.org/features-gallery/gallery/images/ And then you'll want to follow this link to learn how to use it: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/Your_First_Animation_in_30_plus_30_Minutes_Part_I Blender is, as always, completely free and open source. Enjoy! Since both Linux systems and FreeBSD are (sadly) relatively unknown in this world, they've been put together to combine the seeding power of both the Linux communities and the FreeBSD communities. Most modern bittorrent clients allow you to prioritize files, so you place emphasis on the download of one file over others. This will allow you to download the build you need faster, and still help the rest of swarm.
